1 P L Responsibility
- Own the hospital’s profit and loss, driving sustainable growth while maintaining high
standards of care and patient experience.
- Develop budgets, revenue targets and operating expenditure plans with senior
management and finance; translate hospital goals into actionable plans.
- Monitor OPD and IPD revenue, occupancy, service utilisation, costs and profitability,
and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with clinical, marketing and business development teams to grow services
and strengthen referral relationships.
- Oversee billing, collections, procurement and inventory controls to ensure financial
discipline and prevent revenue leakage. 2 Operations Management
- Lead end-to-end outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) operations, ensuring a
seamless patient and caregiver experience across appointments, registration, admission, billing and discharge.
- Oversee front desk and administration, client relations, housekeeping, security, food
and hospitality, and facilities management.
- Establish standard operating procedures, clear ownership, service standards and
escalation protocols across operational functions.
- Maintain safe, functional facilities, equipment and infrastructure through routine
inspections, preventive maintenance and timely repairs.
- Manage external vendors, including selection, contracting, service delivery,
performance reviews and issue resolution.
- Coordinate patient flow, bed availability and operational support for care delivery with
clinical and nursing teams.
- Conduct regular process audits across all operations departments
- Use performance data, patient feedback and relevant technology to improve
efficiency, reliability and service quality. 3 Compliance and Regulation
- Oversee operational compliance with applicable statutory, regulatory and licensing
requirements in coordination with clinical leadership, legal and relevant functional teams.
- Maintain a central tracker of licences, registrations, approvals and renewals, with
clear ownership and timely completion.
- Coordinate inspections and audits, maintain current documentation and track
corrective actions to closure.
- Support adherence to mental healthcare requirements, patient rights, confidentiality
and documentation standards with clinical and nursing leaders.
- Partner with HR on applicable labour requirements and employee and outsourced
staffing records.
- Establish incident reporting and escalation processes, coordinate emergency
preparedness and address compliance gaps. 4 Team Management
- Build, lead and develop the operations team, leading by example through ownership,
empathy, professionalism and a hands-on approach.
- Define roles, responsibilities and performance expectations; assign work and monitor
delivery.
- Conduct team huddles, feedback discussions and performance reviews, recognising
strong performance and addressing gaps promptly.
- Foster a team-oriented, accountable culture; resolve team concerns and support
engagement and retention.
- Ensure operational coverage across shifts, weekends and holidays, with clear
handovers and escalation arrangements. 5 Stakeholder Management
- Act as the bridge between operations, psychiatry, psychology, nursing and Amaha’s
senior management.
- Facilitate cross-functional reviews to resolve dependencies, address service gaps
and follow through on agreed actions.
- Coordinate with central HR, finance, marketing, procurement and technology teams
to secure timely support.
- Escalate critical issues promptly, with clear communication, defined ownership and
timely resolution. Qualifications A bachelor’s/ master’s degree in hospital administration, healthcare management, business administration or a related field.
Additional Information
At least 7 years of relevant experience, including managing and leading hospital operations across OPD and IPD and responsibility for multiple operational functions and teams.
- Experience managing budgets, monitoring financial performance and driving cost
efficiency.
- Working knowledge of hospital operations, compliance, licensing, patient safety and
quality requirements.
- Strong people leadership, with a hands-on approach and the ability to lead by
example, coach teams and build accountability.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to
manage daily operations while improving processes.
- Effective communication and collaboration with clinical teams and senior
management.
- Sound judgement, prioritisation and problem-solving skills, including calm handling of
non-clinical crises and timely escalation of clinical emergencies.
- Based in Bengaluru, with the ability to communicate in English, Hindi and Kannada
