Head of DevOps & Infrastructure Security

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an elite Head of DevOps & Infrastructure Security to orchestrate our mission-critical operational environments, harden system architecture and establish an impenetrable security posture for client data.

Reporting to executive leadership, this leader will transcend traditional infrastructure management by embedding DevSecOps principles across the entire engineering lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines deep technical mastery in cloud/on-premise orchestration with rigorous vulnerability management, ensuring absolute data privacy, zero-trust security compliance, and uncompromising operational resilience for our enterprise and e-Governance ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Zero-Trust Security Architecture & Vulnerability Mitigation

- Proactive Vulnerability Eradication: Spearhead continuous vulnerability assessments, penetration testing integration, and threat-modeling protocols to systematically identify and eliminate system weaknesses before exploitation.
- Data Protection & Privacy Governance: Implement rigorous data encryption (at rest and in transit), strict access controls, and compliance frameworks to safeguard sensitive client data against contemporary cyber threats.
- Security Automation & Patching: Institutionalize automated security patching, compliance monitoring, and immutable infrastructure practices across all development, staging, and production nodes.

2. Cloud Infrastructure & Enterprise Orchestration

- Hybrid Infrastructure Engineering: Architect, scale, and government resilient cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premises infrastructure designed for high availability and low latency.
- Server Administration & Hardening: Enforce enterprise-grade hardening standards for Linux and Windows server environments, eliminating configuration drift and unauthorized access points.

3. Continuous Delivery & CI/CD Pipeline Governance





- High-Velocity Deployment Pipelines: Design, optimize, and secure automated CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps) to accelerate product delivery while embedding automated security checks (SAST/DAST) at every stage.
- Engineering Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering teams to optimize application performance, streamline release cycles, and ensure seamless code-to-production transitions.

4. High Availability, Observability & Resilience

- Performance & Uptime Analytics: Deploy advanced observability platforms to monitor system performance, resource utilization, and operational health in real time.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Design, test, and execute bulletproof backup, replication, and disaster recovery protocols to guarantee absolute system availability and zero data loss during critical incidents.

Technical Competency Matrix

- Security & Compliance: DevSecOps, vulnerability management, IAM governance, encryption standards, and data protection regulations.
- Cloud & Containerization: AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
- CI/CD & Automation: GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and automated testing integrations.
- Operating Systems & Networking: Advanced Linux/Windows server administration, TCP/IP networking, and zero-trust perimeter security.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

- Experience: 10+ years in infrastructure engineering, DevOps leadership, and information security, with a proven track record of managing secure, high-scale production environments.
- Security Mindset: Demonstrated success in discovering critical system vulnerabilities, engineering remediation strategies, and protecting sensitive enterprise or government data.
- Leadership: Exceptional operational leadership with a talent for mentoring engineers and cultivating a security-first engineering culture.
