Role details

- Title / Designation: Head of Business Finance & MIS
- Location: Chennai
- Reporting Manager: Group CFO

Why this role is complex:

- The company earns revenue through Fixed Price, T&M;, Managed Services, Licensing and SaaS/Subscription, sometimes within the same business unit.
- Each model recognize revenue differently and loses margin differently.
- You'll work across multiple business units and geographies, where company-level numbers can conceal underperforming customers and projects that need to be identified and addressed.





Role & responsibilities:

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, variance analysis and scenario modelling across multiple business units.
- Oversee revenue assurance, project/customer profitability, margin improvement and commercial governance.
- Own MIS, management reporting and executive dashboards covering key financial and operational KPIs.
- Lead pricing, deal evaluation, profitability modelling and commercial negotiations for strategic deals.
- Partner with Business, Sales and Delivery Heads to drive revenue, profitability, margins and overall business performance.

Candidate requirements

- CA / CMA with 12–15 years of post-qualification experience in Business Finance, FP&A;, Commercial Finance and MIS.
- Strong understanding of Fixed Price, T&M;, Managed Services, Licensing and SaaS/Subscription business models.
- Mandatory experience in Software / IT Services, Products or Consulting organizations.
- Solid experience in FP&A;, MIS, revenue assurance, pricing, deal evaluation and project profitability.
- Proven team leadership experience with exposure to multiple business units and international operations.
