About SOVO School

SOVO is a progressive IB school focused on creating meaningful, experiential, and child-centred learning experiences. We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Head of Admissions to lead our admissions function and help build robust relationships with prospective families.

About the Role The Head of Admissions will be responsible for managing the complete admissions journey — from generating and nurturing enquiries to campus visits, counselling, conversion, and onboarding.

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator and relationship-builder who understands that school admissions are about building trust with families and helping parents understand the value of the school's educational approach.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the school's complete admissions and enrolment process.
- Handle and nurture prospective parent enquiries through calls, WhatsApp, email, and in-person interactions.
- Conduct personalised counselling sessions with prospective families.
- Explain SOVO's curriculum, IB approach, learning philosophy, programmes, facilities, and fee structure to parents.
- Coordinate and conduct campus visits and admissions meetings.
- Maintain consistent follow-ups with prospective families and ensure timely movement through the admissions pipeline.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, visits, applications, and conversions.
- Track admissions targets and provide regular reports on the admissions pipeline.
- Build strong relationships with prospective parents and existing families.
- Coordinate with the academic and leadership teams during the admissions process.
- Support and participate in open houses, school events, parent engagement activities, and other admissions initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for community outreach, partnerships, events, and other lead-generation activities.




- Gather parent feedback and insights to improve the admissions experience.
- Ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience for newly enrolled families.
- Represent SOVO professionally at external events and community engagements.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in any relevant field.
- 3–7 years of experience in school admissions, education counselling, business development, or a similar parent-facing role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong counselling, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Comfortable working with admissions targets and maintaining a structured lead pipeline.
- Good knowledge of MS Office/Google Workspace and CRM or lead-management systems.
- Ability to confidently present and communicate the school's vision and educational approach.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple prospective families simultaneously.

Preferred Experience

- Prior experience in an IB, international, or premium K–12 school.
- Experience handling admissions for early years/primary school.
- Existing understanding of the Mohali/Chandigarh parent community.
- Experience conducting school tours, open houses, parent events, and counselling sessions.
- Experience in education-focused business development or outreach.
