Key responsibilities:

1. Engineering Strategy & Operational Excellence

- Develop and execute engineering strategies aligned with business, manufacturing, and growth objectives.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply and reliability of critical utilities and plant infrastructure.
- Drive engineering excellence through continuous improvement, automation, digitalization, and benchmarking initiatives.
- Establish engineering standards,SOPs, and governance frameworks across all facilities.

2. Utilities & Infrastructure Management

- Lead operation and maintenance of utilities including boilers, chillers, HVAC, cooling towers, compressed air systems, water treatment plants, power distribution systems, fire protection systems, and other critical facilities.
- Ensure optimum utilization, availability, and reliability of engineering assets.
- Oversee facility management and infrastructure upgrades to support manufacturing requirements.

3. Maintenance & Asset Reliability

- Develop preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
- Improve equipment uptime, OEE, MTBF, and asset lifecycle performance.
- Implement condition monitoring and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Lead breakdown analysis and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.

4. Capital Projects & Expansion A. Greenfield / Brownfield Expansion & Strategic Projects

- Lead feasibility studies, conceptual engineering, detailed engineering, and execution of Greenfield/Brownfield expansion projects. Drive capacity enhancement projects to support future business growth and manufacturing requirements
- Develop long-term infrastructure master plans for utilities, tank farms, warehouses, production facilities, and support services.
- Ensure timely statutory approvals and compliance for expansion projects from regulatory authorities.
- Identify and implement best-in-class technologies to support future manufacturing capabilities.

B. Process Safety & Engineering Integrity
- Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives and ensure engineering controls are maintained across all facilities.
- Drive HAZOP, What-If Analysis, Risk Assessments, LOPA, SIL Studies, and MOC processes for all projects and modifications.
- Ensure mechanical integrity of critical equipment, pressure vessels, storage tanks, pipelines, and utility systems.
- Lead plant reliability and asset integrity improvement programs

5. Energy Management & Sustainability A. Digitalization & Industry 4.0 plus





- Lead implementation of Industry 4.0 initiatives, smart maintenance systems, CMMS, asset monitoring systems, and predictive analytics.
- Promote digitalization of engineering processes, maintenance records, energy management, and project tracking systems.
- Drive automation and process control enhancements to improve safety, productivity, and operational excellence.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and implement digital tools to improve plant efficiency and decision-making.

B. Energy, Utilities & Sustainability Leadership
- Drive energy benchmarking and best-in-class utility performance across manufacturing operations.
- Lead renewable energy initiatives including solar power integration, waste heat recovery, condensate recovery, and carbon reduction programs.
- Develop and execute water conservation, effluent reduction, and circular economy initiatives aligned with sustainability goals.
- Establish annual utility reduction targets and monitor achievement through defined KPIs

6. Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Maintain adherence to Factory Act, PESO, Boiler Regulations, Pollution Control Board norms, and other applicable laws.
- Conduct engineering risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
- Lead safety audits, compliance reviews, and emergency preparedness programs.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Partner with manufacturing, EHS, quality, supply chain, and project teams to support operational goals.
- Provide engineering support for process improvement, troubleshooting, and capacity enhancement initiatives.
- Ensure alignment between production requirements and engineering capabilities.

8. Budgeting & Cost Optimization

- Cost, budget & Capex Governance & Management
- Develop and manage the annual and multi-year Capital Expenditure (Capex) roadmap aligned with business growth objectives.
- Prioritize projects based on business impact, safety, compliance, reliability, and return on investment.
- Ensure effective project governance, milestone tracking, risk management, and post-project benefit realization.
- Present project business cases and investment proposals to senior leadership for approvals.

9. Vendor & Contractor Management

- Contractor & Construction Excellence
- Establish robust contractor management systems covering selection, onboarding, competency assessment, and performance review.
- Ensure world-class safety practices during project execution and maintenance activities.
- Drive zero-incident culture among contractors and construction teams through proactive engagement and audits.
- Monitor project productivity, construction quality, and compliance with engineering standards.

10. Leadership & People Development

- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams to build technical and leadership capabilities.
- Establish succession plans for critical engineering positions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation,



safety, and continuous learning.
- Drive employee engagement and capability-building initiatives.

Who are we looking for?

Education:

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

- Minimum 15 + years of experience in engineering services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Key Skills:

- Expertise in Greenfield/Brownfield project execution and plant expansion.
- Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), HAZOP, MOC, and Risk Management.
- Experience in CAPEX planning, project portfolio management, and investment evaluation.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0, Digital Manufacturing, CMMS, and Predictive Maintenance systems.
- Robust understanding of sustainability programs, ESG requirements, and energy management systems.
- Vendor development, contract negotiation, and project execution expertise.
- Ability to manage large multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Financial acumen with focus on cost optimization and return on investment.
