Position: Head-Engineering/ Senior Manager – Engineering

Location: Bengaluru (On-site)

Experience: 8–10 Years

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering

Role Summary The Head-Engineering/ Senior Manager–Engineering will lead the engineering function for bulk material handling-primarily powder handling- and pneumatic conveying projects. The role combines design leadership, project engineering, standardization, value engineering, and team management. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Projects, Manufacturing, Procurement, Automation, and Service teams to ensure technically sound and commercially competitive solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead a team of design and project engineers and develop a high-performance engineering culture.
- Manage pre-sales and post-sales engineering activities for bulk material handling and powder handling systems.
- Engineer complete systems involving pneumatic conveying, silos, feeders, weighing, batching, blending, mixing, and mechanical conveying equipment.
- Prepare. review, approve flow diagrams, layouts, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, calculations, equipment specifications, and engineering documentation in collaboration with marketing and application engineers.
- Drive standardization, modularization, and value engineering initiatives to improve competitiveness and execution efficiency.



Initiate and work on new product development.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and project execution teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Support proposal preparation, technical discussions, customer meetings, and technical clarifications.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and customer specifications.
- Mentor engineers and establish engineering best practices, design procedures, and documentation standards.
- Participate in sales meetings, assist vendor evaluation and technical review of bought-out equipment.
- Support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer issue resolution when required.

Desired Technical Skills

- Strong fundamentals in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in pneumatic conveying systems (dense and dilute phase) preferred but not essential. Experience/exposure in bulk material handling/powder handling/weighing, mixing batching.
- Knowledge of bulk material handling equipment such as screw conveyors, bucket elevators, belt conveyors, drag chain conveyors, feeders, silos, and silo discharge systems in addtion to pneumatic conveying
- Familiarity with drives, instrumentation, controls, and automation integration.
- Ability to interpret customer process requirements and develop complete flow diagrams and engineered solutions
- Experience with 2D/3D CAD platforms and engineering document control systems.
- Exposure to hydraulic systems will be an advantage.
