Role Description The Head Chef role is a full-time, on-site position based in Indore, responsible for leading the kitchen operations and culinary direction at Siolim.

The Head

Chef will design and refine menus that complement the specialty coffee offerings, focusing on high-quality, consistent, and creative food experiences. Daily responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, managing food preparation and plating, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards, and maintaining inventory and cost control. The role involves collaborating with management and barista teams to create cohesive pairings between food and coffee, as well as continuously improving recipes and presentation.





The Head

Chef will also train and mentor team members, uphold sustainability practices in sourcing and production, and support a welcoming, community-oriented environment for guests.

Qualifications

- Strong culinary skills in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation, ideally with experience in café or specialty coffee settings.
- Proficiency in kitchen operations, including staff supervision, workflow management, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene practices, and quality control in a professional kitchen environment.
- Experience with inventory management, cost control, and supplier coordination, with an appreciation for sustainable and ethical sourcing.
- Effective communication, leadership, and team-building abilities, with a collaborative approach to working across front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
- Strong sense of creativity and passion for crafting food that enhances the overall guest experience and aligns with brand values.
- Prior experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a restaurant, café, or similar setting; formal culinary training or certification is preferred.
- Ability to work in office full time in Indore, with flexibility for peak hours, weekends, and special events.
