About the Role

WNS is looking for an experienced Group Manager / Lead – SmartCOMM Development to join our team in Bangalore.

The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of hands-on experience in SmartCOMM development, with strong expertise in template development, data models, assembly rules, scripting, XML/XPath, and customer communication solutions.

Experience in Insurance, Customer Communication Management (CCM), policy documentation, and enterprise document generation will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain customer communication solutions using SmartCOMM.
- Develop and maintain SmartCOMM templates, data models, assembly rules, and scripts.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable and effective communication solutions.
- Develop reusable, high-quality, and maintainable SmartCOMM components.
- Work closely with Business, Product, Testing, and Technology teams to deliver solutions successfully.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application and production issues within agreed timelines.
- Perform debugging and root-cause analysis for defects and production issues.
- Follow development best practices with a strong focus on performance, scalability, reusability, and code quality.
- Support large-scale enterprise CCM and document generation implementations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of SmartCOMM development processes and solutions.

Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 7–10 years of hands-on SmartCOMM Development experience.
- Strong experience in:
- SmartCOMM Template Development
- Data Model Configuration & Updates
- Assembly Rules
- SmartCOMM Scripting
- SmartCOMM Designer
- Strong knowledge of XML and XPath.




- Positive understanding of reusable template design and development best practices.
- Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in the Insurance domain, particularly policy documentation and customer communications.
- Experience with Customer Communication Management (CCM) platforms.
- Experience with document generation and customer correspondence solutions.
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise CCM implementations.
