Role Description This is a full-time, on-site General Arrangements (GA) Designer role based in Saroornagar, Hyderabad. The GA Designer will prepare and modify general arrangement drawings and layouts for industrial and infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.

Daily responsibilities include interpreting engineering inputs, coordinating with design and detailing teams, and updating drawings based on review comments and client feedback. The role involves maintaining drawing records, adhering to CAD and BIM standards, and supporting multidisciplinary teams across civil/structural, mechanical, architectural, and electrical domains. The GA Designer will also collaborate with global project teams, participate in design review meetings,



and help streamline documentation workflows to meet schedule and quality requirements.

GA Drawing Preparation

- Prepare detailed GA drawings and layouts using AutoCAD .
- Develop equipment, structural, building, and plant layout drawings.
- Prepare plans, elevations, sections, details, and arrangement drawings.
- Develop drawings from design calculations, sketches, specifications, and engineering mark-ups.
- Incorporate engineer, client, consultant, and project revisions/comments.

Engineering Drawing & Detailing

- Prepare accurate layouts with proper dimensions, annotations, and specifications.
- Develop equipment and structural arrangement drawings.
- Prepare foundation, platform, access, support, and related engineering details.
- Maintain drawing templates, title blocks, layers, and CAD standards.

Coordination

- Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and other disciplines .
- Review engineering inputs and accurately incorporate them into drawings.
- Identify clashes, inconsistencies, and dimensional discrepancies.
- Coordinate with site/project teams for actual site conditions and design changes.

Drawing Review & Quality

- Perform self-checks before drawing submission.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy, completeness, and drawing quality.




- Follow company and project-specific CAD standards.
- Maintain proper revision control and drawing documentation.
- Deliver drawings within agreed project schedules.

Project Support

- Support engineering teams during project execution.
- Prepare drawings for fabrication, construction, installation, and site requirements.
- Revise drawings based on site feedback and engineering changes.
- Assist with as-built drawings where required.

PREFERRED SKILLS

- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD commands, layers, blocks, XREFs, dimensions, annotations, and plotting .
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and mark-ups.
- Positive understanding of Civil/Mechanical engineering concepts.
- Knowledge of structural and mechanical detailing.
- Exposure to industrial plants, steel structures, equipment layouts, or fabrication drawings is preferred.
