We are seeking an experienced Gen BI Prompt Engineer to develop and optimize Generative AI-powered Business Intelligence solutions. The role will focus on prompt engineering, LLM optimization, RAG frameworks, AI performance monitoring, and natural language analytics. The candidate will work closely with engineering, data, BI, and business teams to improve AI-generated insights, ensure data accuracy, and meet operational SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and optimize prompts, system instructions, and prompt workflows for LLM-powered BI applications.
- Analyze Natural Language Query (NLQ) patterns and user interactions to improve the accuracy and relevance of AI-generated insights.
- Develop and maintain prompt templates and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions.
- Optimize model context, token usage, response latency, and fallback mechanisms.
- Build and maintain evaluation datasets and frameworks to measure prompt and model performance.
- Integrate Generative AI capabilities with BI platforms such as Looker, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Monitor AI responses, prompt execution, system latency, accuracy, and service performance.
- Identify and mitigate hallucinations, data-quality issues, accuracy degradation, and data leakage risks.
- Manage operational escalations related to AI response quality and SLA compliance.
- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports covering accuracy,



hallucination rates, latency, token usage, and user adoption.
- Perform root-cause analysis of prompt failures and data-synthesis issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Data, BI, and Business stakeholders to continuously improve Gen BI solutions.

- Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering.
- At least 2+ years of experience in Prompt Engineering, LLM integration, or Generative AI analytics.
- Strong hands-on experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI APIs, or Gemini APIs.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, prompt design, and data visualization.
- Experience with Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms.
- Solid understanding of NLQ, RAG architectures, prompt evaluation, LLM optimization, and analytics KPIs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Python.
- Knowledge of LLM fine-tuning, embeddings, and vector-based retrieval.
- Experience developing automated AI analytics and reporting solutions.
- Certifications in Generative AI, Cloud Analytics, Data Engineering, or Project Management.
