Role Overview:

We are looking for experienced FX Artists – Experience of 5 Years with strong expertise in Houdini and FX simulation workflows.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience creating high-quality effects such as fire, smoke, explosions, water, destruction, debris, particles, and other procedural simulations for feature films and VFX productions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create and deliver high-quality FX shots and simulations using Houdini.
- Develop effects including Pyro, FLIP/fluids, RBD/destruction, particles, smoke, fire, explosions, debris, and other dynamic simulations.
- Build efficient, scalable, and production-ready FX setups.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and refine simulations based on creative and technical requirements.




- Work closely with VFX Supervisors, Leads, Production, and other departments to ensure seamless shot execution.
- Interpret creative briefs and feedback to achieve the required visual quality.
- Maintain consistency and quality across assigned shots and sequences.
- Ensure FX work is delivered according to production schedules and deadlines.
- Contribute to improving FX workflows, tools, and production efficiencies.
- For senior-level positions, provide technical support and guidance to other artists.
- For lead-level positions, oversee FX execution, review shots, mentor artists, and provide creative and technical direction to the team.

Requirements:

- Strong hands-on expertise in Houdini.
- Solid understanding of FX simulation and procedural workflows.
- Experience with Pyro, FLIP, RBD, particles, destruction, smoke, fire, explosions, and related effects.
- Good understanding of VFX production pipelines and shot-based workflows.
- Strong artistic eye with a good understanding of scale, timing, motion, realism, and composition.
- Showreel/Portfolio demonstrating relevant FX work is mandatory.
