Job Overview

We are looking for versatile Full-Stack PHP Engineers to join our Engineering team. The team works across multiple Business Units and technology initiatives, supporting new product development, application enhancements, application modernization, integrations, and specialized engineering projects.

The role requires strong hands-on expertise in PHP, combined with the ability to work across frontend, backend, databases, cloud, DevOps, and emerging technologies. Our environment includes both modern PHP applications and significantly older enterprise systems, so engineers should be comfortable understanding, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modernizing legacy PHP applications toward current PHP versions and frameworks.

The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who can quickly understand unfamiliar codebases, adapt to different technology environments, leverage AI-assisted development tools effectively, and take ownership of delivering high-quality engineering outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities

•

Design, develop, test, maintain, and modernize PHP applications.

•

Develop applications using contemporary PHP frameworks.

•

Build and consume REST APIs.

•

Develop full-stack applications using PHP with React, Angular, Vue.js, or similar technologies.

•

Work with both modern and legacy PHP applications.

•

Analyze existing codebases and identify modernization opportunities.

•

Upgrade PHP versions, frameworks, libraries, and dependencies.

•





Refactor legacy PHP applications toward modern architectures.

•

Work with relational and NoSQL databases.

•

Develop integrations with enterprise applications and third-party services.

•

Work with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.

•

Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

•

Troubleshoot application and production issues.

•

Improve application performance, security, reliability, and maintainability.

•

Participate in technical design, architecture discussions, and code reviews.

•

Where applicable, integrate AI/ML services, LLM APIs, and intelligent automation.

•

Collaborate with engineers, product teams, architects, and Business Unit stakeholders.

•

Adapt to different projects and technology environments based on business priorities.

Required Skills

PHP

Strong hands-on PHP development experience.

•

PHP 8.x preferred.

•

Experience with PHP 7.x.

Strong understanding of object-oriented PHP.

•

Namespaces and Composer.

Dependency management.

Modern PHP development practices.

Legacy PHP

Experience working with

PHP 5.x / older PHP applications.
