SkillEnable runs Academy of Vedic Vidya, an online academy for Vedic astrology and traditional sciences with students across India and abroad, and Treasure of Veda, a D2C brand for certified gemstones, rudraksh and spiritual consultations. We are a small, fast-moving team, and technology sits at the centre of how we sell, teach and serve our customers.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are hiring a Full Stack Developer to build and run the software our business actually runs on. You will work across four areas:

Internal CRM and sales tools: lead management, call tracking and sales dashboards used every day by our sales teams

Customer-facing platforms: the Academy of Vedic Vidya website and student experience, the Treasure of Veda store, and our astrologer websites

AI products: our AI astrologer app, plus Claude-powered automations and internal assistants

Integrations and data: Meta and Google Ads, payment gateways, WhatsApp, and syncs with our accounting and reporting systems

What you ship will be used by real teams and customers within days, not quarters.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Build and maintain web applications in PHP (Laravel) and React.js

Design, build and integrate REST APIs, including third-party APIs

Design MySQL schemas and write efficient, optimised queries

Build clean, responsive interfaces with HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript

Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code to build, debug, test and document faster

Work with Git and GitHub: branches,



pull requests and code reviews

Troubleshoot production issues and fix bugs quickly

Work directly with business teams to turn requirements into working software

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

1.5 - 2 years of professional full stack development experience

Robust hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel

Working experience with React.js and JavaScript (ES6+)

MySQL: schema design, query writing and optimisation

REST API design and integration

Git and GitHub in a team workflow

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, and the ability to own a feature end to end

Clear communication, since you will work directly with non-technical teams

Willing to work full-time from our Kolkata office

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field (preferred)

GOOD TO HAVE

Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI coding tools (if you have not used them yet, we will help you get good at it)

Node.js / Express or basic Python

Integrations with Meta, Google, WhatsApp or payment gateway APIs

Deployment on AWS, DigitalOcean or Hostinger; basic Linux; Docker; CI/CD

JWT / OAuth authentication

Experience building CRM, ERP or SaaS products
