Job Purpose To ensure uninterrupted availability of rice husk, biomass, biofuels, green fuels, and other assigned fuel materials through effective procurement planning, supplier management, inventory monitoring, compliance, cost efficiency, and timely vendor payments.

Procurement & Supply Planning

- Procure rice husk, biomass, biofuels, green fuels, and other assigned fuels as per plant requirements.
- Generate Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP/ERP and communicate requirements to suppliers.
- Monitor dispatch schedules to ensure continuous fuel availability.
- Maintain optimum stock levels to avoid material shortages.

Supplier Management

- Coordinate with suppliers for timely dispatch and delivery of materials.
- Maintain solid supplier relationships to ensure continuous supply.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and ratings (A/B/C categorization).
- Support vendor development and identify alternate sources.

Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain purchase records, delivery documents, invoices, and supporting documents.
- Submit required documents to Stores, Finance, Accounts, and Gate departments.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and audit requirements.

Cross-Functional Coordination

- Liaise with Stores, QC, Finance, Accounts, Co-Generation, Production, and SCM teams.
- Coordinate sample movement and communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Support smooth operations through timely information sharing.

Reporting & MIS

- Prepare daily stock, procurement, and outstanding payment reports.
- Analyze procurement data and recommend process improvements and cost optimization.
- Maintain procurement MIS and performance dashboards.

Cost Control & Continuous Improvement





- Monitor market trends and supplier pricing.
- Support cost-saving initiatives in fuel procurement.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and procurement efficiencies.
- Evaluate sustainable fuel options such as briquettes, pellets, bio-coal, agro-residue, and other green fuels for cost and suitability.

Eligibility

- Candidate should have relevant exposure in procurement, supply chain, stores, commercial operations, or vendor coordination.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in fuel procurement, biomass, rice husk, biofuels, green fuels, agro-residue, or similar materials.
- Candidate should be able to coordinate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, transporters, and external stakeholders.

Qualification

- Graduate in any discipline; preference for Commerce, Science, Agriculture, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration background.
- MBA/PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Operations, or related field will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of SAP/ERP, MS Excel, procurement documentation, and MIS reporting is desirable.

Experience

- Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, vendor management, commercial coordination, or plant material planning.
- Experience in procurement of rice husk, biomass, biofuels, green fuels, agro-based fuels, coal substitutes, or plant utility materials will be preferred.
- Should have experience in supplier follow-up, PO creation, material dispatch tracking, stock monitoring, invoice coordination, and payment follow-up.
- Ability to analyze market trends, negotiate with suppliers, maintain records, and support cost optimization initiatives.
