Aumraa is building a modern devotional platform rooted in Sanatan traditions, bringing together devotional experiences, spiritual guidance, sacred commerce, temples, content, and community within one connected experience.

Our goal is to make everyday engagement with faith more accessible, thoughtful, and relevant by combining Indian devotional traditions with contemporary product thinking and technology.

We are looking for a Frontend Developer who can independently own our Shopify storefront while contributing meaningfully to Aumraa’s React-based web applications and internal platforms. This is a hands-on role for someone who can take frontend requirements from design and product thinking through development, testing and production deployment.

What You’ll Do

Shopify Storefront Development

- Own the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of Aumraa’s Shopify storefront
- Build and customise Shopify experiences using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Develop custom sections, blocks, snippets, templates and reusable storefront components
- Extend Shopify themes beyond standard theme-editor capabilities
- Translate Figma designs into responsive, production-ready storefront experiences
- Build and improve product pages, collection pages, search, navigation, cart, landing pages and campaign experiences
- Work with metafields, metaobjects, templates and collection logic where required
- Build reusable sections that allow business and content teams to manage storefront content with minimal developer dependency
- Troubleshoot Shopify theme issues, app conflicts and frontend bugs

React.js & Web Application Development

- Develop, test and maintain web applications using React.js and TypeScript
- Build reusable, modular frontend components using functional components and React Hooks
- Work with state management using Redux Toolkit, Context API or similar approaches
- Develop interfaces including dashboards, forms, tables, filters, search, navigation, content-management screens and operational workflows
- Implement routing, validations, application states and user interactions
- Refactor and improve existing frontend components where required
- Contribute to the continued improvement of Aumraa’s existing and future React-based products





API Integration & Application Logic

- Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services
- Handle data fetching, submissions, validations and error responses
- Work with authentication tokens, session handling and permission-based interfaces
- Implement loading, empty, success and error states across frontend workflows
- Collaborate with backend developers on API requirements and data structures
- Debug frontend and API integration issues independently

Responsive UI & Design Implementation

- Translate Figma designs, wireframes and prototypes into high-quality production interfaces
- Build responsive layouts using modern HTML, CSS, Flexbox and Grid
- Ensure consistent experiences across desktop, tablet and mobile
- Maintain accuracy in layout, typography, spacing, interactions and responsive behaviour
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility across major browsers
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to identify technical limitations and edge cases before development

Frontend Performance & Optimisation

- Monitor and improve page-load speed and frontend performance
- Optimise JavaScript, CSS and component rendering
- Reduce unnecessary React re-renders and inefficient frontend logic
- Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals on Shopify
- Identify unnecessary Shopify apps, scripts and third-party dependencies affecting performance
- Use browser developer tools and performance-auditing tools to identify and resolve issues

E-commerce, Growth & Integrations

- Build marketing landing pages, promotional pages and product-launch experiences
- Support frontend improvements across product discovery, navigation, merchandising and cart journeys
- Implement frontend changes based on business requirements, analytics and customer behaviour
- Support simple CRO and A/B testing implementations where required
- Integrate and configure Shopify apps for reviews, bundles, upselling, analytics and customer engagement
- Support integrations with GA4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Klaviyo or similar platforms
- Ensure third-party scripts and apps do not unnecessarily impact storefront performance





Testing, Release & Code Quality

- Test features thoroughly before production deployment
- Perform responsive and cross-browser testing
- Validate forms, interactions and API-driven workflows
- Troubleshoot production issues and resolve regressions
- Write clean, modular and maintainable JavaScript and TypeScript
- Use Git / GitHub or equivalent version control
- Work with branches, pull requests and code reviews
- Maintain basic technical documentation for important components and integrations
- Identify technical debt and suggest practical improvements

Ownership & Collaboration

- Independently take frontend features from requirements to production
- Estimate effort and highlight dependencies or blockers early
- Coordinate with designers, backend developers, product and marketing teams
- Take responsibility for the quality and stability of delivered frontend work
- Help improve frontend development practices as the product and team evolve

What We’re Looking For

- 2–5 years of hands-on frontend development experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), React.js and TypeScript
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and responsive web development
- Experience with React Hooks, functional components and component-based architecture
- Experience with Redux / Redux Toolkit / Context API or similar state-management approaches
- Hands-on Shopify development experience
- Strong working knowledge of Shopify Liquid and Online Store 2.0
- Experience building custom Shopify sections, templates, snippets and reusable components
- Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs
- Ability to translate Figma designs into production-ready frontend experiences
- Understanding of frontend performance optimisation and cross-browser compatibility
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Git-based development workflows

Good to Have

- Tailwind CSS, Redux Toolkit and Vite
- Shopify CLI, metafields and metaobjects
- React Router
- JWT-based authentication and session management
- GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel or Klaviyo integrations
- Core Web Vitals and performance optimisation
- CRO / A-B testing exposure
- Experience in D2C, e-commerce or consumer technology
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, Claude or ChatGPT

Bonus

Experience with Flutter, Dart or mobile application development would be an advantage, but is not mandatory.
