We are looking for an experienced Freelance Automotive Reverse Engineering & Wiring Harness Designer to support automotive product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Reverse engineer physical automotive components and develop accurate 3D CAD models.
- Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances and GD&T.;
- Create component/assembly models using SolidWorks.
- Reverse engineer automotive wiring harnesses, connectors, terminals and wire routing.
- Prepare harness drawings, wire details, branch dimensions and BOM.
- Provide native CAD, PDF and STEP files as required.
Required Skills
- Strong SolidWorks & mechanical design skills.
- Experience in automotive reverse engineering.
- Knowledge of 2D drawings, GD&T; and manufacturing requirements.
- Experience in automotive wiring harness design/drawing.
- Knowledge of connectors, terminals, wires and BOM preparation.
