Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Emulation & FPGA Prototyping Engineer to support graphics model development through emulation build, validation, debugging, and optimization activities.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hardware emulation and FPGA prototyping platforms, strong debugging capabilities, and expertise in Verilog/SystemVerilog, Verdi, and scripting. The role involves troubleshooting emulation failures, improving execution efficiency, and collaborating with global cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform emulation builds, sanity checks, validation, and execution of graphics models.
- Set up and maintain efficient emulation environments for model validation and debugging.
- Analyze and debug test failures, tool issues, build failures, and environment-related problems.
- Perform waveform analysis using Verdi and other debugging tools to identify root causes.
- Troubleshoot issues across the emulation and FPGA prototyping flow and drive them toward resolution.
- Optimize emulation workflows to improve execution efficiency, turnaround time, and productivity.
- Work closely with hardware verification, design, model development, and other cross-functional teams for issue resolution.
- Prepare structured status reports, debug reports, technical documentation, and progress updates.




- Participate in regular team sync-ups, including cross-time-zone communication and handoffs.
- Plan and prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery and continuity of activities during team member absences.

Required Skills & Expertise
- 7–15 years of relevant experience in hardware emulation, FPGA prototyping, verification, or related areas.
- Strong hands-on experience with hardware emulation platforms, preferably Synopsys ZeBu.
- Hands-on experience with FPGA prototyping platforms, such as HAPS or equivalent.
- Robust knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog and hardware debugging methodologies.
- Experience with Verdi or similar waveform/debugging tools.
- Strong scripting experience in Python, Perl, Linux Shell/Bash, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of hardware verification, emulation, validation, and debug methodologies.
- Experience troubleshooting complex failures across tools, environments, builds, and test execution.
