About Aerorock Projects Aerorock Projects Pvt. Ltd. is a Kolkata-based start-up building a commercial and industrial (C&I;) rooftop solar business. We deliver turnkey EPC projects for customers who purchase their systems (CAPEX), develop company-owned or financed projects that supply solar power to customers under long-term agreements (RESCO/PPA), and provide long-term operations, maintenance and asset management.

As a founding team member, you will help set the strategy, standards, systems and culture of the company from day one.

About the role The engineering leader will establish technical standards, deliver our first commercial and industrial rooftop solar projects and ensure the long-term performance of the assets we build and manage.

Responsibilities

Lead rooftop solar feasibility studies, site surveys and technical due diligence. Review structural suitability, electrical load, transformer capacity and grid connectivity. Oversee PV design, inverter selection, module layout, cable sizing, earthing and protection systems. Coordinate with external design consultants and engineering software providers.



Own turnkey EPC delivery from design to commissioning for customer-owned EPC and RESCO/PPA projects. Manage contractors, subcontractors, installation teams and site supervisors. Establish project schedules, quality standards and safety procedures. Monitor procurement, installation quality and commissioning. Evaluate the technical viability of RESCO/PPA opportunities and production estimates. Set up O&M;, monitoring, preventive maintenance and breakdown response processes. Lead solar asset management, including performance monitoring, generation analysis and lifecycle planning. Build the initial engineering and project execution team.

Ideal candidate 7-12 years of commercial or industrial rooftop solar experience. Strong EPC execution experience beyond residential installations. Experience with projects of roughly 500 kW to 5 MW or larger. Solid knowledge of electrical systems, rooftop structures, safety and commissioning. Experience managing EPC contractors and project budgets. Exposure to O&M;, remote monitoring and asset performance management preferred.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
