SHRUSA CHEMY PRIVATE LIMITED is a specialty chemical manufacturing company engaged in the development and manufacture of waterproofing chemicals, construction chemicals and silicone sealants.

We are looking for a hands-on Formulation & Quality Control Chemist who will be responsible not only for routine quality-control testing but also for current product formulation, product improvement, laboratory trials, troubleshooting and scale-up of formulations from laboratory to production batches.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform raw-material, in-process and finished-product quality testing for waterproofing chemicals and silicone sealants.
- Develop and optimize formulations for acrylic elastomeric waterproofing coatings and other construction chemicals.
- Conduct laboratory formulation trials and comparative evaluation of different raw materials and additives.
- Assist in the development of silicone sealant formulations and product modifications.
- Conduct performance testing including viscosity, density, pH, solids, drying characteristics, adhesion, flexibility, water resistance and other product-specific parameters.
- Identify and troubleshoot formulation and production problems such as settling, viscosity variation, foaming, poor adhesion, cracking, poor water resistance and stability issues.
- Carry out laboratory trials and support scale-up from laboratory batches to production batches.
- Establish and maintain raw-material and finished-product specifications.
- Prepare and maintain QC test methods, SOPs, formulation records, batch records, test reports and Certificates of Analysis (COA).




- Evaluate alternative raw materials and suppliers from a technical and quality perspective.
- Support production during new-product trials and process optimization.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration records, test registers and retention samples.
- Research relevant ASTM, ISO, EN and BIS standards/test methods applicable to waterproofing products and sealants.
- Maintain proper laboratory documentation and ensure consistency and traceability of test results.

Educational Qualification

Essential:

- M.Sc. in Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry

Preferred:

- Practical exposure to polymer chemistry, coatings, adhesives, sealants or construction chemicals.

Experience 3-4 years of relevant industrial experience, preferably in one or more of the following:

- Waterproofing chemicals
- Construction chemicals
- Acrylic coatings
- Polymer-based coatings
- Adhesives
- Sealants
- Silicone sealants
- Paints/coatings
- Polymer formulation and testing

Candidates with strong hands-on formulation and QC experience will be preferred. Technical Skills The candidate should have practical knowledge of:

- Acrylic polymer emulsions
- Fillers and pigments
- Dispersants and wetting agents
- Defoamers

- Able to document experiments and interpret test results
- Curious about developing new products and improving existing formulations
- Comfortable working in a growing manufacturing company where responsibilities may extend beyond a conventional QC laboratory role.
