About the Role

We are looking for a Floating / Roaming Quality Executive who will be responsible for quality control across our supplier and vendor locations.

This is a field-based role for someone who is comfortable working independently, travelling frequently, and taking ownership of quality decisions at the source. The objective is to identify and resolve quality issues before material reaches us or finished goods leave the vendor.

The role will involve regular visits to raw material suppliers, stitching units, finishing units and packing vendors.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupplier & Raw Material Quality

- Inspect fabric at supplier locations using the four-point fabric inspection system.
- Check GSM, width, construction, finish and overall quality against approved standards.
- Verify shade against approved swatches and check shade continuity across rolls and lots.
- Inspect trims and hardware including webbing, zips, sliders, rivets, eyelets, labels, thread and packing material.
- Witness critical processes such as dyeing, printing and coating where required.
- Draw, label and send samples for laboratory testing.
- Check quantity, roll details, packing and marking before material is dispatched.
- Hold and escalate any material lot that does not meet the required standard.

Vendor & Production Quality
- Ensure approved samples, measurement charts, trims cards and workmanship standards are available before bulk production begins.
- Conduct first-piece approval before bulk production.




- Carry out inline quality checks at critical operations.
- Pay particular attention to handle and webbing attachment, bartacks, gusset and base construction, binding and hardware fixing.
- Conduct mid-production audits and record defects accurately by type and quantity.
- Conduct pre-final and final inspections as per agreed AQL standards.
- Check finishing and packing, including thread trimming, pressing, cleanliness, tagging, labelling, polybags, carton marking and quantities.

Reporting & Follow-up
- Submit detailed visit reports on the same day, including photographs, quantities checked, defects identified and the final decision.
- Immediately escalate critical quality issues to the Quality Manager.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and retained samples.
- Track open quality issues with suppliers and vendors until closure.
- Verify that corrective actions from previous visits have actually been implemented.
- Identify recurring issues and flag them to the Quality Manager and Outsourcing Lead.

Quality Coaching
- Explain quality standards to supplier and vendor teams.
- Help vendor teams understand what is wrong, why it matters and how the issue can be prevented.
- Provide additional support to new suppliers and vendors during their initial orders.

What We’re Looking For




- 3–6 years of experience in quality control within apparel, bags, accessories or fabric.
- Hands-on experience in inspection and quality control.
- Diploma or degree in Textile Technology, Apparel Production, Quality or a related field. Strong practical experience will also be considered.
- Good knowledge of the four-point fabric inspection system and AQL sampling.
- Understanding of GSM, width, shade matching, measurement and tolerance checks.
- Ability to read and understand tech packs, measurement charts and trims cards.
- Experience working at supplier/vendor premises will be an advantage.
- Comfortable with frequent travel—approximately 15–20 days per month, including travel to industrial areas and smaller towns.
- Able to work independently and make transparent, honest quality decisions.
- Firm but respectful when dealing with suppliers and vendors.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Fluent in Hindi and Marathi; working English required for written reports.
- Comfortable using a smartphone for photographs, reporting and submitting field reports.

What Success Looks Like
- Quality issues are identified at the supplier/vendor rather than after goods reach us.
- No bulk production starts without first-piece approval.
- Inspection reports are accurate, complete and submitted on time.
- Corrective actions are followed through and recurring issues are reduced.
- Inspection records are complete and traceable.
