Reporting to: Head Financial Reporting/ Finance Controller

Key purpose of the job: The AGM/DGM - Financial Reporting will lead the organization's financial reporting function, ensuring the timely, accurate, and compliant preparation of statutory and management financial reports. The role will drive financial governance, accounting excellence, regulatory compliance, and reporting transformation initiatives while partnering with senior leadership on strategic financial matters.

The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting processes, strengthening internal controls, managing audits, interpreting complex accounting standards, and providing insights to senior management to support business decision-making

Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities

- Financial reporting and consolidation:
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial statements, disclosures, schedules, and management reports.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations, financial analytics, and variance analyses to ensure reporting reliability.
- Drive the financial close process and ensure adherence to reporting timelines
- Statutory Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure compliance with Ind AS, accounting standards, regulatory guidelines, and corporate governance requirements.
- Monitor emerging accounting pronouncements and assess their impact on the organization.
- Lead implementation of new accounting standards and reporting requirements.
- Strengthen financial governance frameworks and ensure adherence to internal policies and controls.
- Ensure adherence to the FSCP and IFC framework
- Statutory audit and internal audit:
- Act as the primary point of contact for Statutory Auditors, and Internal Auditors, and Cost Auditors for the entities being managed.
- Lead audit planning, coordination, and closure activities.




- Address audit observations proactively and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Ensure readiness of financial records and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Process Excellence & Reporting Transformation:
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation of reporting activities.
- Support in digital transformation initiatives within finance, leveraging SAP and reporting tools.
- Prepare financial statements analytics and identify the improvement opportunities and provide insights for timely decision making.
- Internal Controls & Risk Management:
- Review and strengthen financial controls and reporting frameworks.
- Conduct periodic assessments of financial reporting risks and control effectiveness.
- Ensure adequate documentation of processes and controls.
- Support enterprise risk management initiatives from a finance and reporting perspective.

- Strategic Business Partnering:
- Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations on business performance.
- Prepare financial results, key trends, business risks, and opportunities to leadership teams.
- Assist in evaluating business transactions and their accounting and reporting implications.

- Technical Accounting Leadership:
- Research and provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and business initiatives.
- Ensure consistency in accounting policies across the organization.
- Lead accounting policy reviews and documentation.
- Take lead in establishing self as technical champion will be an added attribute.
- Chartered Accountant with more than 8-10 years of post-qualification experience
- Agile to business requirements & accounting processes

- Knowledge of SAP/ERP system
- Extremely strong fundamentals in accounting
- Robust knowledge of statutory audits, internal controls, and financial governance
- Experience in finance transformation and process automation initiatives will be an advantage
- Ability to interact effectively with senior management, auditors, and external stakeholders
