Qualification

· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

· MBA/PGDM in Finance or relevant professional qualifications will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare financial proposals and commercial bids for all types of consultancy, development, infrastructure, and service-sector projects.
- Review RFPs, RFQs, tenders, EOIs, and proposal documents to understand financial, commercial, and pricing requirements.
- Develop detailed project cost estimates, budgets, and financial calculations based on scope of work and project requirements.
- Prepare manpower costing, including expert fees, staff deployment, effort estimates, and level-of-effort calculations.
- Prepare costing for qualified fees, consultancy fees, reimbursable expenses, travel, logistics, administrative costs, and other project-related expenses.
- Analyse the technical scope and convert the proposed methodology and resource requirements into appropriate financial estimates.
- Prepare detailed BOQ / cost sheets / rate analysis / pricing schedules, wherever applicable.
- Develop financial models and pricing structures for different types of proposals.
- Calculate applicable taxes, GST, overheads, contingencies, profit margins, escalation, and other commercial components as required.
- Coordinate with the Technical, Business Development, HR, and Project teams to obtain manpower, resource, and operational cost inputs.
- Review and validate cost inputs received from different departments to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure financial proposals are prepared in accordance with client formats, tender conditions, submission guidelines, and timelines.




- Compare market/vendor rates and available cost data to support realistic and competitive costing.
- Prepare multiple pricing scenarios based on project requirements, budget limitations, and commercial conditions.
- Support the team in budget feasibility and commercial evaluation of prospective projects.
- Maintain a database of historical project costs, consultant rates, manpower rates, and other financial benchmarks for future proposals.
- Review financial proposals before submission and identify calculation discrepancies or missing commercial information.
- Coordinate with senior management for final pricing, margins, commercial strategy, and approval.
- Maintain proper records of submitted proposals, financial calculations, and supporting documents.
- Assist in post-submission activities, including commercial clarifications, revised financial proposals, negotiations, and financial negotiations, when required.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong understanding of proposal costing and financial proposal preparation.
- Excellent skills in MS Excel, including formulas, costing sheets, financial models, and data analysis.
- Ability to interpret RFPs, TORs, BOQs, tender documents, and project scopes.
- Robust numerical and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of project costing, budgeting, overheads, margins, and pricing.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work on multiple proposals simultaneously and meet strict submission deadlines.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills.

Experience

1-3 years of relevant experience in financial proposal preparation, tender costing, project costing, commercial estimation, or proposal management, preferably in a consultancy,

infrastructure, development, engineering, or service-sector organization.
