Overview:

A Financial Data Analyst is a qualified who uses data analysis techniques to help organizations understand and improve their financial performance. They collect, process, and interpret financial data to support decision-making, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. It's primary purpose is to use data to provide insights into an organization's financial health, identify trends, and support planning, forecasting, and reporting efforts.

Key Skills:

- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Financial Data Analyst.
- Research, review, analyze, and interpret financial statements and broker reports of large corporates across global markets.
- Ensure compliance with global accounting and reporting policies, including US GAAP and IFRS.
- Graduate in Finance and accounting.

- Capture relevant data points from financial reports and tag information from the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement using relevant applications.
- Perform transaction-based activities, rule-based decision-making, data verification, and accuracy checks.
- Validate data for accuracy and completeness, format information, post data, and prepare required outputs.
- Perform various types of reconciliations, system-to-system reconciliations, balancing, open item management, and reporting.
- Conduct continuous quality checks and validation during the finalization of financial statements.
- Capture and validate key financial figures including Revenue, Net Income, EPS, Weighted Average Shares, Income Before Tax, Income Tax, and One-time Charges.
- Provide timely, relevant, and accurate financial information for earnings-related reporting.
- Capture future estimated financial data and guidance from press releases, earnings calls, and company presentation reports.
- Perform number crunching and analysis on specific items across the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Understand and work with financial processes and applications to ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned activities.
