About Marlow BrayMarlow Bray is a Hong Kong-based advisory firm helping high-net-worth families secure global residency and citizenship. We have guided 300+ families through citizenship and residency programmes worldwide. As we grow, we are building out a dedicated finance function to support that growth.

The RoleWe are hiring a Financial Controller to own the finance function's day-to-day production, reporting to and working closely with the CFO. You'll take full ownership of bookkeeping and the monthly close cycle, working in Xero and Google Sheets across a multi-currency, milestone-based revenue business. Alongside the core production work, you'll also contribute to strategic finance projects as the function scales.

What You Will Own

- Bookkeeping and monthly close: bank/card reconciliations, trial balance, management accounts, cash position, and full-cycle bookkeeping to Xero
- Financial statements: Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, including balance-sheet reconciliation and aged receivables/payables review
- Reporting accuracy and insight: reviewing the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting pack for accuracy, integrity, and timeliness before it is presented to the CFO
- Commission and payroll: commission run calculations, pay-run preparation, and payslip processing
- Vendor payments: processing payment requests and reconciling vendor accounts
- Governance and compliance: contributing to quarterly and semi-annual finance reviews and supporting audits and statutory filings
- Processes, controls, and policies: ensuring appropriate reporting processes, internal controls, and accounting policies are in place and applied consistently across entities
- Systems and process improvement:



strengthening the Xero and Google Sheets stack, automating manual workflows, and helping build a finance infrastructure that scales with the business

What We Are Looking For

- 5+ years in accounting or finance operations, ideally with Controller, Senior Accountant, or Finance Manager experience
- Hands-on expertise in Xero (or equivalent cloud accounting platforms) and advanced Google Sheets
- Strong reconciliation and month-end close discipline, comfortable owning a full cycle independently
- Experience with multi-currency operations (EUR, HKD, GBP, USD)
- Experience reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions, including intercompany transactions, is an asset
- Working knowledge of IFRS and group reporting requirements is an asset
- Experience managing cash flow and working with banking partners
- Qualified accounting qualification (CA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred
- Excellent written communication — this role works closely and asynchronously with a CFO and CEO based outside India
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with executives, auditors, and banking partners
- Comfortable in a lean, fast-scaling environment where you will build process, not just follow it

Hours: remote from India, with at least three hours of daily overlap with Hong Kong (GMT+8).
