The Opportunity

We are looking for a management accountant to join our client delivery team across a portfolio of US-focused engagements. The role blends controller execution with FP&A; — well suited for a CA-qualified or semi-qualified professional and CMA who enjoys working directly with clients and taking ownership of real deliverables.

You will work across month-end close, management reporting, budgeting, and compliance support for growth-stage US businesses.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Month-End Close & Controller Execution

- Own month-end close for assigned clients — journals, accruals, prepaids, revenue cut-off, and trial balance review
- Build and maintain reconciliation workbooks across bank, AR, customer deposits, and revenue allocation
- Manage payment runs and vendor coordination for controller engagements

2. Management Reporting & FP&A;

- Prepare monthly MIS and board packs with written variance commentary
- Prepare investor and stakeholder reporting, including portfolio statements and return calculations
- Support budgeting and rolling forecasts with driver-based analysis

3. Compliance & Coordination

- Manage the US sales tax compliance calendar and support return preparation
- Coordinate with client teams, auditors, and trustees to keep open items on track

Who We're Looking For To qualify for the role, you must have:

- CMA, CA-qualified or semi-qualified accountant with 0–3 years of hands-on experience in a controller, outsourced accounting, or FP&A; role
- Comfort working with US clients, confidence in your close skills,



and readiness to take ownership of a small portfolio
- Close & Controller Ownership — comfortable running a full month-end close independently, identifying gaps and completing the picture without being directed at every step
- Reconciliation Capability — able to build reconciliation workbooks from raw data: deposit allocation, receivables ageing, and revenue allocation
- US GAAP Familiarity — working knowledge of accrual accounting, revenue recognition, and period cut-off in a practical delivery context
- Advanced Excel — XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables, Power Query, and FP&A; model-building including return calculations
- Accounting Systems — hands-on with QuickBooks Online or Zoho Books; Xero is a bonus
- Reporting Craft — able to produce a P&L;, balance sheet, and cash flow pack with a transparent written narrative
- Communicates clearly and confidently in written English
- Follows up proactively when information is missing
- Works well with ambiguity and returns structured outputs
- Open to overlapping with US working hours on a scheduled basis

Good to Have

- Experience with trust or not-for-profit accounting
- Familiarity with US indirect tax and sales tax filings
- Revenue recognition for distribution or licensing models
- Python for reporting automation (openpyxl, python-pptx)
- Multi-currency or international entity reporting
