Crossbar Labs records first-person video of skilled work, such as cooks, warehouse teams, factory workers and craftspeople, and turns it into training data for AI and robotics companies. We have live projects running across Mumbai, current ones starting now, and more lined up.

The role

You'll be our first operations hire, and you'll own everything that happens on the ground in Mumbai. Right now the founders run daily operations themselves. Your job is to take that over completely.

You'll start hands-on: at sites, setting up devices, briefing workers and handling daily uploads yourself. As we add projects, you'll hire and build the field team under you. This is not a desk role on day one, but it's built to grow into one.

What you'll do

- Run daily operations across multiple capture sites in Mumbai: restaurants, kitchens, warehouses and workshops
- Set up and manage recording devices at sites, and brief the workers who wear head-mounted cameras during their normal shifts
- Own the daily footage pipeline: collection, upload and an accurate delivery log, every single day
- Enforce capture standards on the ground: lighting, camera angles, framing, footwear and safety gear, privacy rules and consent paperwork
- Track quality results and fix problems at the source. If a site's footage keeps getting rejected,



you find out why and fix it.
- Own the device fleet: charging, tracking, repairs and loss prevention
- Find and onboard new partner businesses as we expand
- Maintain accurate hours data for worker and partner payouts
- Hire, train and manage field executives as volumes grow
- Write the SOPs and checklists that let us run many sites at once

Who you are

- 3–6 years in on-ground operations, for example quick commerce or dark stores, logistics, restaurant or cloud-kitchen ops, facility management, or field survey ops
- You've managed a frontline or gig workforce across multiple locations, and you're still happy to do the work yourself
- Comfortable with phones, cameras and apps. You figure out devices fast.
- Fluent in Hindi and Marathi, and comfortable writing reports in English
- You live in Google Sheets and track everything
- Mumbai-based, own a two-wheeler, and happy to be on the move most of the day
- An owner, not an order-taker. You spot problems before anyone asks and fix them without being chased.

Bonus: experience with data collection or annotation projects, or an early-stage startup.
