HIRING BRIEF — FACTORY MANAGER / PLANT HEAD

About us

Urban Pure manufactures containerized sewage treatment plants (50 KLD–3 MLD) using EBR+MBR technology, and process equipment — Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) units, disc filters, MS/SS pressure and process vessels, skids and 20/40 ft container-based plants. Customers are government bodies, PSUs (ITI Ltd, NBCC), railways, universities and industry. Technology developed with IIT/CSIR/BARC. Four patents.

Role summary

Own the Sahibabad factory end-to-end: fabrication, assembly, testing, dispatch, quality, manpower and cost. Take us from job-shop working to a planned production line delivering 3–5 containerized plants and 8–10 equipment units per month.

Key responsibilities

1 Production planning and scheduling against order book; daily/weekly output reporting

2 Heavy fabrication management — MS/SS plate cutting, rolling, welding (MIG/TIG/ARC), container structure fabrication, pressure/process vessels, tanks, skids

3 Quality — WPS/PQR, welder qualification, DP/hydro/radiography tests, painting/coating (epoxy/PU) inspection, third-party inspection (TPI) coordination, ISO documentation

4 Assembly of process units — pumps, blowers, membranes, piping (PVC/HDPE/SS), electrical panels, instrumentation; FAT before dispatch





5 Manpower — supervise 40–80 workers and supervisors; contract labour management; safety (PPE, permits, fire)

6 Cost control — material yield, consumables, rework, subcontractor rates; make-vs-buy decisions

7 Stores and inventory — BOM discipline, GRN, vendor development for plates, pipes, fittings, fasteners

8 Statutory — factory licence, pollution board, labour compliance, EHS

9 Coordinate with design (3D/CAD team), procurement and site-installation teams

Candidate profile

BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/Production; 12–20 years' experience, of which 5+ years heading a fabrication/equipment factory

Must have hands-on experience in coded pressure vessels or tanks, or containerized/skid-mounted process equipment

Water/wastewater equipment exposure preferred but not essential; robust fabrication discipline is essential

Comfortable in an SME/founder-led setup; willing to build systems from scratch

Based in or willing to relocate to Ghaziabad/East Delhi; Hindi + working English

Titles to target Works Manager, Production Manager, Plant Head, Fabrication Manager, Manufacturing Head, Deputy General Manager (Works)

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
