Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Factory Head – Switchgear to lead the complete manufacturing operations of a switchgear production facility. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, quality, maintenance, manpower, cost control, safety, productivity, and timely delivery while ensuring compliance with applicable electrical and manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the complete day-to-day operations of the switchgear manufacturing facility.
- Develop and execute production plans based on customer orders and business requirements.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within defined quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Manage manufacturing of switchgear products such as LT/HT panels, MCC panels, PCC panels, control panels, distribution boards, and related electrical assemblies, as applicable.
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and production resources.
- Lead and manage production, quality, maintenance, stores, and other factory teams.
- Establish production schedules, shift plans, and manpower allocation.
- Monitor production efficiency, productivity, rejection rates, rework, and wastage.
- Implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Coordinate with the Quality team to ensure products meet approved specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure proper testing and inspection of electrical panels and switchgear assemblies before dispatch.
- Coordinate with engineering/design teams regarding drawings, BOMs, technical specifications,



and production requirements.
- Work closely with Purchase and Stores teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Monitor inventory levels and control material wastage and consumption.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety, factory safety, and statutory requirements.
- Develop and implement SOPs, production processes, and quality control procedures.
- Analyze production data and prepare MIS reports for senior management.
- Manage production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Ensure timely dispatch of finished products as per customer and project requirements.
- Handle production-related issues and coordinate with relevant departments for timely resolution.
- Build a culture of safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–15 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in switchgear, electrical panels, or electrical equipment manufacturing.




- Strong knowledge of switchgear manufacturing and electrical panel assembly.
- Experience in managing complete factory/manufacturing operations.
- Good knowledge of production planning, quality control, testing, and process improvement.
- Understanding of electrical drawings, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and panel assembly processes.
- Knowledge of relevant IS/IEC standards applicable to switchgear and electrical panels.
- Strong leadership and manpower-management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, ERP/MIS, and production reporting systems.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve production targets.

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in switchgear manufacturing, electrical panel manufacturing, industrial electrical equipment, LV/MV panels, MCC/PCC panels, or related electrical manufacturing operations will be preferred.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
