We are looking for a Fabric Quality Inspector responsible for inspecting and ensuring the quality of fabrics received from suppliers before they are released for production. The role will involve checking fabric quality, colour, measurements, defects, GSM, shade variation, and other specifications as per approved standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect all incoming fabrics received from suppliers before issuing them for production.
- Check fabric against approved quality standards, specifications, and approved samples.
- Conduct fabric inspection for defects such as:
- Holes and cuts
- Stains and oil marks
- Slubs and yarn defects
- Weaving/knitting defects
- Uneven dyeing
- Colour/shade variation
- Printing or finishing defects
- Shrinkage and distortion
- Needle lines and other fabric abnormalities
- Check fabric width, GSM, weight, length, construction, and other required parameters.
- Conduct shade matching against approved standards and identify shade variation between rolls/lots.
- Inspect fabric rolls using a fabric inspection machine or suitable inspection method.
- Identify and mark defective areas wherever required.
- Maintain fabric inspection reports and record defects, roll numbers, quantities, and inspection results.
- Segregate and report rejected, defective, or questionable fabric to the concerned team.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding fabric quality issues and arrange for replacement, correction, or resolution.
- Ensure proper identification and traceability of fabric lots and rolls.
- Maintain records of supplier-wise quality performance and recurring defects.




- Coordinate with the Purchase, Production, Product Development, and Warehouse teams regarding fabric quality issues.
- Ensure that only approved-quality fabric is released for cutting/production.
- Conduct re-inspection of corrected or replaced fabric when required.
- Assist in maintaining and improving fabric inspection standards and quality checklists.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/Graduate in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Garment Technology, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in fabric inspection or textile quality control preferred.
- Valuable knowledge of different knitted and woven fabrics.
- Understanding of fabric defects, GSM, width, shrinkage, colour/shade, and finishing.
- Experience with fabric inspection machines will be an advantage.
- Good observation and attention to detail.
- Basic MS Excel knowledge for maintaining inspection records.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to identify and report quality issues accurately.

Preferred Experience Experience in sportswear, activewear, performance fabrics, garment manufacturing, or textile production will be preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
