Role Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Fabric Data Entry Operator to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of fabrics, trims, and related production materials. The candidate will be responsible for entering, updating, and coordinating fabric-related information across internal systems and ensuring smooth data flow between the design, sourcing, production, and inventory teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Enter and maintain accurate fabric data in Excel/ERP/internal systems.
- Maintain records of fabric names, qualities, compositions, colours, widths, rates, suppliers, and quantities.
- Update fabric inward, outward, stock, and consumption records.
- Maintain fabric purchase and supplier-related data.
- Record fabric submissions, approvals, rejections, and follow-ups.




- Track fabric availability and coordinate with the concerned teams for requirements.
- Maintain records of fabric lots, rolls, meterage, and inventory.
- Cross-check physical fabric quantities with system/Excel records.
- Prepare regular fabric stock and status reports.
- Update records whenever there are changes in fabric quantity, rate, supplier, or quality.
- Coordinate with the Design, Production, Purchase, Merchandising, and Warehouse teams for accurate information.
- Follow up on pending fabric requirements, deliveries, and approvals.
- Ensure all fabric documentation is properly organised and updated.
- Identify discrepancies in data and report them to the concerned team.
- Handle day-to-day data entry and administrative work related to the fabric department.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of MS Excel and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Basic understanding of fabrics, textiles, and garment production is preferred.
- Ability to manage large volumes of data efficiently.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work with multiple departments and meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of ERP/software systems will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate

- 1–3 years of experience in fashion, apparel, textile, garment manufacturing, or fabric sourcing .
- Candidates with experience handling fabric inventory or fabric records will be preferred.
- Should be systematic, responsible, and comfortable working with repetitive data and detailed information.
