Objective:

Support the mechanical design and development of low-voltage switchgear products (MCB, RCCB, RCBO, Isolators, DBs, etc.).

Ensure robust, innovative, and high-quality mechanical designs that meet market demands, compliance standards, and manufacturability.

Key responsibilities:

- Assist in developing and managing mechanical design concepts for switchgear, ensuring functionality, durability, and ease of manufacturing.
- Collaborate with R&D; teams to prototype and validate mechanical performance and reliability of switchgear components.
- Conduct design reviews to assess feasibility, costs, and risks during product development.
- Ensure compliance with BIS, RoHS, CE, IEC, and other relevant certifications.
- Work closely with Industrial Design agencies and external teams to optimize mechanical designs.
- Support the Sales & Marketing teams by incorporating customer feedback into new designs.




- Utilize advanced materials and manufacturing techniques to enhance product performance and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure manufacturability, ease of assembly, and process efficiency.
- Manage and prioritize multiple design projects while meeting deadlines and budgets.

Experience and Qualification:

- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development of switchgear (e.g., MCB, RCCB, Isolators, DBs)
- .Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in mechanical design tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar software.
- Experience with plastic and metal components, tooling, and injection molding processes.
- Knowledge of lifecycle management and current product introduction (NPI) in mechanical design.
