Senior Estimation Engineer is responsible for ensuring accuracy of quantities with abstract, preparation of Tender BOQ and costing for the project in charge.

- Ensuring accuracy of quantities with abstract done by Junior Engineers and guiding them.
- Preparation of project cost estimate & budget, as per commitment with accuracy.
- Collecting information regarding work with GM, PM, Consultants, Contractors or concerned person.
- To check and prepare where required Cost estimate and Tracking of project budget vs actual cost.
- Develop knowledge in cost benefit analysis, cost optimization, up gradation of knowledge through market analysis & team leadership skills.

6. Develop knowledge in Costing & managerial skills..

1) Ensuring accuracy of quantities with abstract done by Junior Engineers and guiding them .

a) Checking of quantities and abstract prepared by Jr. Estimation Engineer.

b) Checking of assumptions and notes prepared by them with respect to drawing and discussion.

c) Guiding Junior Estimation Engineer for more accurate quantity calculation.

2) Preparation of project cost estimate & budget, cost reconciliation as per commitment with accuracy.

a) Preparation of Cost estimate (block or detailed) based on details available with current market rates and analysis.

b) Preparation of Cost reconciliation with the help of site team and GM on quarterly basis.

3) Collecting information regarding work with GM, PM, if any.

a)Collecting information regarding drawings, details or specifications.

b)Clarifying queries and getting more information during the working.

4) Managing all estimated related work as per prioritization and guiding the team.

a)Work Division,



allocating the task to the team & tracking the task on a weekly basis b)Checking of estimates and work completed by the team.

c)Assuring the drawings and details availability for the working.

d)Review and present all the estimates prepared to the respective GMs, site team and clients e)Guiding the team for calculation, for work plan and for achieving the task.

5) To check and prepare where required Cost Estimate and Cost reconciliation a)Checking of costing prepared by team.

b)Preparation of Cost estimate (block or detailed) based on details available with current market rates and analysis.

6) Tracking of project budget vs actual cost and cost anticipation.

a)Collecting the relevant data from site team.

b)Based on the present status of the project, the actual cost expense to be compared with the estimated cost expenditure.

c)For cost anticipation, we will get the tally backup from the client and compare the cost with estimated budget, to know the budget status of project.

d)Ensuring the project completion within the estimated budget.

7) Develop knowledge in cost benefit analysis, cost optimization, up gradation of knowledge through market analysis & team leadership skills.

a)To gain more knowledge in costing with accurate rate analysis.

b)To learn the different analysis like cost benefit analysis, cost optimization, market analysis etc.

c) To have training's on leadership skills and presentation skills.

8) Develop knowledge in Costing & Managerial skills.

a)To understand rate analysis, idea of having current market rates for different items and then working on cost estimate to arrive project cost.

b)To gain the idea about work flow and managing the work as per prioritize basis. To develop communication and presentation skills.

c)No. of training's given to juniors and developing them in different skills and knowledge.
