Role Description The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for residential and commercial projects, including quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on architectural and structural drawings. This full-time, on-site role in Mumbai includes analyzing project specifications, sourcing and updating material and labor rates, and supporting tender preparation and bid submissions.

The Estimation

Engineer will collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and vendors to validate estimates, optimize costs,



and ensure alignment with project budgets. Daily activities include conducting market research, reviewing contracts and technical documents, assisting in negotiations with suppliers and contractors, and maintaining accurate estimation records and reports for management review.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in BOQ preparation and project estimation, including quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Civil Engineering, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Candidates should possess effective negotiation skills for dealing with vendors, contractors, and other external partners.
- Candidates should possess research skills to track market rates, industry trends, and technical developments relevant to construction projects.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools is an advantage.
- Robust numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to work with deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in real estate or building construction estimation in Mumbai or similar markets is preferred.
