Position Overview

We are looking for experienced Environmental Professionals to support environmental management, compliance, monitoring, and implementation activities for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Project.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that project activities comply with applicable environmental regulations, project-specific environmental requirements, and approved Environmental Management Plans (EMP).

1. Location: Billimora, Gujarat

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science
- M.E./M.Tech in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science
- M.Sc. in Environmental Science
- B.Sc. in Environmental Science

Experience

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience after the required qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Railway / Metro / Airport projects.
- Candidates must have Railway / Metro / Airport project experience.
- Experience in environmental management for large-scale infrastructure projects will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) at project sites.
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws, regulations, permits, and project requirements.
- Monitor environmental parameters such as air quality, water quality, noise, waste management, and soil/environmental conditions.
- Coordinate environmental monitoring activities, testing, and reporting.
- Maintain environmental records, registers, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors, laboratories, and statutory authorities.
- Monitor environmental performance of contractors and subcontractors.




- Identify environmental risks and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
- Support environmental audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Assist in obtaining and maintaining necessary environmental permissions, approvals, and consents.
- Prepare periodic environmental reports and project compliance reports.
- Ensure proper management of construction waste, hazardous waste, wastewater, and other environmental aspects.
- Conduct environmental awareness and training programs for project personnel and workers.
- Ensure environmental requirements are incorporated into site execution activities.

2. Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science
- M.E./M.Tech in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science
- M.Sc. in Environmental Science
- B.Sc. in Environmental Science

Experience

- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience after the required qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Railway / Metro / Airport projects.
- Candidates must have substantial Railway / Metro / Airport project experience.
- Experience in major infrastructure / high-value transportation projects will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage environmental management activities for the project.
- Ensure overall implementation and monitoring of the Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental legislation, statutory requirements, project specifications, and contractual obligations.




- Monitor and review environmental performance across project sites and construction activities.
- Lead environmental audits, inspections, monitoring programs, and compliance assessments.
- Review environmental reports, monitoring data, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, statutory authorities, and other project stakeholders on environmental matters.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with air, water, noise, waste, hazardous materials, soil, biodiversity, and other environmental requirements.
- Review and monitor contractors' environmental management practices and performance.
- Identify environmental risks and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate statutory environmental approvals, permissions, consents, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and review periodic environmental compliance reports for management and project authorities.
- Conduct environmental training, awareness programs, toolbox talks, and site inspections.
- Maintain comprehensive environmental records and documentation.
- Support project management in resolving environmental issues and ensuring timely closure of observations/non-compliances.
- Ensure environmental requirements are integrated into project planning, construction, and execution activities.

Preferred Skills

- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in Railway / Metro / Airport / major infrastructure projects.
- Good knowledge of environmental monitoring and assessment.
- Strong documentation, reporting, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary project teams and contractors.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Project Note: Candidates without the required Railway / Metro / Airport project experience may not be considered for these positions.
