YNV Group seeks a dynamic and hands-on Enterprise Architect to lead technology direction for our banking business across retail and business banking. You will own the enterprise architecture for the full banking estate: core banking, front-office and back-office platforms, payments, lending, compliance and the wider banking application landscape.

Responsibilities

- Create and maintain the banking technology architecture roadmap and ensure it aligns with the organization's strategic goals.
- Work closely with the CEO, CTO, COO, and department heads to ensure business strategy is well understood and supported by a robust technology strategy.
- Lead the analysis of business and operating models, market trends, regulation, and the technology industry to determine their impact on the enterprise's strategy, direction, and architecture
- Present gap analyses and IT investment roadmaps that reflect the status of the existing banking estate and its ability to deliver future-state business capabilities
- Lead analysis of the IT environment to detect critical deficiencies (resilience, security, scalability, cost, and regulatory exposure) and recommend solutions for improvement.




- Identify inefficiencies in current processes and systems and propose improvements that enhance productivity, reduce cost, and improve customer outcomes.
- Create architectural designs that guide and contextualise solution development across products, services, projects, and systems, including applications, technologies, processes, and information.
- Ensure the role of architecture in project and product governance is one of guidance, advice, and oversight, and that decisions are made at pace; provide consultative advice on investment decisions, including build, buy, and partner options for banking platforms.
- Ensure the architecture is robust, scalable, and secure and meets the needs of a growing and changing business and satisfies regulatory and audit requirements.

Qualifications

- 10+ years of experience as an architect experience, with at least 5 years in banking or financial services.
- TOGAF certification and/or BIAN knowledge (or equivalent EA framework expertise).
- Proven experience leading core banking and payments platform modernisation programs, with a track record of successful delivery
- Hands-on, production experience with core banking, payments, lending, and compliance platforms—not just design-level involvement
- Experience across both retail and business banking.
- Experience engaging with regulators, including obtaining or operating under banking or EMI licences.
- Cloud architecture certification (Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred), with working knowledge of Azure for banking workloads
- Strong knowledge of modern architecture patterns—APIs, microservices, event-driven, and cloud-native systems—applied in a regulated banking environment.
- Familiarity with banking standards: ISO 20022, SWIFT, and open banking/PSD2.
- Experience applying AI/ML in a regulated financial services setting.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align C-suite and cross-functional teams.
