Position: Head of Department – English

Department: English

Location: EuroSchool Thane(ICSE)

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the English Department across secondary and senior secondary sections.
- Plan, implement and monitor the English curriculum in line with ICSE/ISC academic requirements.
- Mentor, guide and support English teachers to enhance teaching and learning practices.

Eligibility & Experience:

- Postgraduate degree in English / English Literature / English Language.
- B.Ed. in English is preferred.
- 6+ years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in an ICSE/ISC school.
- Prior experience in a leadership or HOD role will be an advantage.
- Solid communication, leadership, mentoring and organisational skills.
- Candidates based in Thane City would be preferred.




- Monitor lesson planning, classroom observations, assessments and academic progress.
- Ensure effective implementation of curriculum, assessments and academic timelines.
- Analyse student performance and implement appropriate academic interventions.
- Conduct department meetings, coordinate academic activities and maintain departmental records.
- Support teachers in adopting innovative and child-centric teaching methodologies.
- Coordinate with the Principal, Vice Principal and academic team on departmental requirements.
- Contribute to co-curricular activities, literary events and other school initiatives.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: From ₹39,000.00 per month
