Job Purpose: The candidate shall be responsible for Managing purchase function for material handling machine manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for:
- Procurement activities to performto execute production activity in time.
- Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships through Vendor Development.
- Purchase order making for all purchases. I.e. vendor developed items, brought-out items etc.
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
- Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
- Examine and test existing contracts.
- Use of Company ERPto take all data in to system.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Collaborate with key persons in production / Design to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.
- Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
- Need to perform any additional task given by management time to time
Requisite Skills:
- Understanding of Technical Design Drawings, MS office skills. i.e. MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry and positioning
