Job Purpose To ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of boilers and associated utility systems while maintaining compliance with statutory and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Boiler Operations

- Operate and monitor boilers, deaerators, steam distribution systems, and related equipment.
- Maintain required steam pressure, temperature, and production as per plant requirements.
- Ensure optimum fuel consumption and boiler efficiency.

1. Monitoring & Control

- Monitor operating parameters such as pressure, temperature, feed water quality, fuel consumption, and steam generation.
- Record operational data in logbooks and MIS reports.
- Analyze trends and recommend improvements.

1. Maintenance Coordination

- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Identify equipment abnormalities and initiate corrective actions.
- Support annual shutdown and boiler inspection activities.

1. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with Boiler Act, Factory Act, and statutory regulations.
- Implement safety procedures, LOTO practices, and permit-to-work systems.




- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.

1. Utilities Management

- Monitor utility consumption including steam, water, fuel, and power.
- Optimize utility costs through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with production departments to ensure uninterrupted utility supply.

1. Team Management

- Supervise boiler operators and utility technicians.
- Provide training on secure operation and emergency handling.
- Ensure proper manpower deployment across shifts.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience: 5-8 years in boiler and utility operations in chemical, edible oil, FMCG, or manufacturing plants

- Knowledge of
- Fire tube and water tube boilers

- Thermic fluid heaters

- Steam distribution systems

- Water treatment plant (WTP)
- Fuel systems (Coal, Biomass, FO, LDO, PNG)
