Position Objective The primary objective of this role is to support the design and development of Low Voltage (LV) Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs), Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCBs), and associated accessories. The engineer will contribute to product design, validation, prototyping, documentation, and industrialization activities while working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.

The role offers an prospect to gain hands-on experience across the product development lifecycle, from concept development through testing and manufacturing support.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the design and development of LV electrical distribution products in accordance with technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Participate in product development activities including design, modeling, prototyping, testing, documentation, and manufacturing support.
- Contribute to the development of LV products such as MCCBs, ACBs, contactors, thermal relays, and associated accessories.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses related to mechanism design, tolerance stack-up, material selection, and component sizing.
- Develop 3D models, assemblies, and drawings using CAD tools such as Creo / Pro-ENGINEER.
- Assist in design feasibility studies and preparation of engineering documentation.
- Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Coordinate prototype builds and participate in product testing and validation activities.
- Support qualification, reliability, and certification testing of products.
- Perform root cause analysis and support implementation of corrective actions for design and quality issues.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, quality,



and supplier teams during product development and industrialization.
- Maintain engineering documentation including drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), engineering change requests, and design guidelines.
- Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

- Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in design and development of low-voltage electrical distribution products or electromechanical products.
- Exposure to products such as MCCBs, ACBs, contactors, relays, switchgear components, or related electromechanical systems.

Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of LV circuit breakers, electromechanical systems, and product development processes.
- Working knowledge of CAD tools such as Creo / Pro-ENGINEER or equivalent 3D modeling software.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes including plastic molding, sheet metal, assembly, casting, and tooling.
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals including GD&T;, tolerance stack-up, mechanism design, and material selection.
- Familiarity with DFM, DFA, DFMEA, and engineering validation practices.
- Exposure to prototype development, product testing, and qualification activities.
- Basic understanding of product lifecycle management and engineering documentation.
