– INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN

Position: Electrician – Industrial / 3-Phase

Location: IMT Manesar, Gurugram, Haryana

Qualification: ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Job Objective To carry out installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and equipment, with strong hands-on knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems, motors, electrical panels and industrial power distribution.

Key Responsibilities

1. 3-Phase Electrical Maintenance

- Handle installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of 3-phase electrical systems.
- Check and maintain 3-phase voltage, current, phase sequence, load balancing and electrical connections.
- Troubleshoot phase failure, short circuits, overloads, loose connections and voltage-related faults.
- Perform electrical maintenance of machines, equipment and utility systems.

2. Motors & Starters

- Installation and maintenance of 3-phase motors.
- Knowledge of DOL and Star-Delta starters.
- Troubleshoot motors, contactors, relays, overload relays and control circuits.
- Check motor rotation, insulation and electrical connections.

3. Electrical Panels & Distribution

- Maintain and troubleshoot MCC, PCC, DB and control panels.
- Work with MCBs, MCCBs, contactors, relays, timers and other electrical components.
- Perform cable termination, panel wiring and electrical connections.
- Read and understand basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

4. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.




- Attend electrical breakdowns and restore equipment safely and efficiently.
- Identify recurring electrical problems and report them to the supervisor.
- Maintain basic breakdown and maintenance records.

5. Testing & Fault Finding

- Use multimeter, clamp meter, megger and other electrical testing instruments.
- Conduct insulation and continuity testing.
- Identify electrical faults through systematic troubleshooting.

6. Installation & Wiring

- Industrial wiring, cable laying and cable termination.
- Installation of switches, sockets, lighting, DBs and electrical equipment.
- Maintain cable trays, conduits and electrical connections.

7. Safety

- Follow electrical safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance.
- Ensure proper earthing of electrical equipment.
- Never work on live equipment unless specifically authorized under approved safety procedures.
- Maintain good housekeeping around electrical panels and work areas.

Required Technical Skills
- Strong practical knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems – 415V.
- Good knowledge of 3-phase motors and starters.
- Knowledge of DOL, Star-Delta and basic VFD systems.
- Knowledge of MCC/PCC/DB panels.
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of cables,



MCB, MCCB, contactors, relays and overloads.
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of earthing and electrical safety.
- Ability to use multimeter, clamp meter and megger.
- Basic knowledge of PLC/control wiring will be an added advantage.

Industrial electrician roles commonly require these same areas, including three-phase systems, motor wiring, control panels, testing instruments, preventive maintenance and safety/LOTO practices.

Educational Qualification

- ITI – Electrician Trade preferred.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage.

Experience
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, factory, warehouse or industrial projects preferred.

Preferred Candidate
- Strong hands-on knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems.
- Able to independently identify and rectify electrical faults.
- Comfortable working on industrial machines and electrical panels.
- Valuable safety awareness and disciplined work approach.
- Candidates from IMT Manesar / Gurugram / nearby areas preferred.
