Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Engineering & Maintenance team. The candidate will be responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and upkeep of electrical equipment, utilities, automation systems, and power distribution systems.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing facility and should be familiar with GMP documentation, electrical safety, and maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Electrical Maintenance:

- Carry out preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
- Identify electrical faults and ensure timely troubleshooting and rectification.
- Maintain electrical equipment to minize breakdowns and production downtime.

2) Motors, Drives & Control Systems:

- Maintenance and troubleshooting of AC/DC motors, starters, contactors, relays, control panels, and electrical circuits.
- Troubleshoot and maintain VFDs/drives and associated control systems.

3) PLC, HMI & Automation Systems:

- Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-based control systems, HMI, SCADA, sensors, and automation systems.
- Coordinate with automation/service teams for major faults and modifications as required.

4) Instrumentation Maintenance:

- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of field instruments, sensors, transmitters, switches, and control devices.
- Support calibration and instrumentation activities in coordination with the concerned team.

5) Production & Packaging Equipment:

- Attend electrical breakdowns of production and packaging machinery.




- Carry out preventive maintenance as per the approved maintenance schedule.
- Ensure minimum machine downtime and timely closure of maintenance activities.

6) Utility / HVAC / Water System Equipment:

- Provide electrical maintenance support for HVAC systems, AHUs, pumps, compressors, chillers, water systems, and other utility equipment.

7) HT/LT Power Distribution:

- Operation, inspection, and maintenance of HT/LT panels, transformers, MCC/PCC panels, distribution boards, cables, and associated electrical systems.
- Monitor electrical loads and ensure safe and reliable power distribution.

8) Power Factor & Energy Management:

- Monitor power factor, electrical load, and energy consumption.
- Maintain APFC panels and support energy-saving and power optimization initiatives.

9) DG, UPS & Emergency Power Systems:

- Operate and maintain DG sets, UPS systems, batteries, emergency power systems, and associated electrical panels.
- Conduct routine checks and maintain records as required.

10) QC, R&D; & Warehouse Support:

- Provide electrical maintenance support to QC, R&D;, warehouse, and other departments.
- Attend electrical complaints and ensure timely resolution.

11) GMP, GDP & Documentation:





- Follow GMP and GDP requirements applicable to Engineering & Maintenance activities.
- Maintain preventive maintenance records, breakdown records, equipment logbooks, checklists, and other engineering documentation.
- Support audits and inspections by providing required maintenance records and information.

12) Safety, EHS & Compliance:

- Follow electrical safety procedures, LOTO requirements, PPE practices, and applicable EHS guidelines.
- Ensure safe working practices during maintenance and repair activities.
- Report unsafe conditions and take necessary corrective actions.

13) Good Operating Practices (GOP):

- Follow approved SOPs, work instructions, and valuable engineering/operating practices.
- Maintain tools, electrical panels, equipment, and work areas in proper condition.

14) Team Coordination:

- Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Utility, Warehouse, and Engineering teams for maintenance activities.
- Support contractors and service engineers during maintenance and project work.
- Guide junior technicians/helpers wherever required.

Candidate Profile:

- ITI in Electrician trade from a recognized institute.
- 512 years of relevant hands-on experience in electrical maintenance.
- Experience in pharmaceutical/manufacturing industry preferred.
- Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, drives, control panels, PLC/HMI systems, and utilities.
- Should be comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environment and following GMP and safety requirements.
- Good troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently attend electrical breakdowns.
