About the Role: The IESA Startup Mitra Program is a flagship initiative by the India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) focused on enabling ESDM (Electronics System Design & Manufacturing) startups through mentorship, government scheme facilitation, ecosystem partnerships, investor connects, incubation support, and innovation-driven programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the strategy, growth, and overall execution of the Startup Mitra Program, including defining annual goals, KPIs, and impact metrics.
- Build and manage relationships with startups, investors, incubators, accelerators, corporates, government agencies, academia, and global ecosystem partners.
- Develop programs for startup incubation, acceleration, mentoring, funding, market access, technology collaboration, and scale-up.
- Establish strong connections with VCs, angel investors, family offices, corporate investors, and financial institutions to facilitate funding opportunities for startups.
- Drive engagement with Central and State Governments on startup, semiconductor, electronics, innovation, manufacturing, and deep-tech initiatives.
- Facilitate access to government schemes, grants, incentives, policy initiatives, and institutional support for startups.
- Develop strategic partnerships with industry and technology companies to create pilots, customer connects, collaborations, and market-access opportunities for startups.
- Lead flagship startup conclaves, investor forums, demo days, innovation challenges, workshops, and ecosystem events.
- Build and lead the Startup Mitra team,



ensuring effective program delivery, stakeholder management, and measurable outcomes.
- Represent IESA and Startup Mitra at senior-level industry, government, investor, and international forums.
- Build the visibility and positioning of Startup Mitra through thought leadership, ecosystem reports, industry engagements, and strategic communications.

Desired Experience & Qualifications :

- 15–20 years of professional experience with significant exposure to startups, incubators/accelerators, venture capital, deep-tech, semiconductor/electronics, corporate innovation, government programs, or industry associations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Technology, Entrepreneurship, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Indian startup, ESDM, semiconductor, and deep tech ecosystem.  Proven track record in strategic partnerships, business development, ecosystem building, and stakeholder management.
- Robust network among industry leaders, founders, investors, policymakers, government agencies, and technology ecosystem stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build, scale, and execute high-impact initiatives.
- Willingness to travel within India and internationally as required.
