About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Business Systems and Technology to lead the organization’s technology, business systems, data, and information strategy, with a robust focus on integration, scalability, operational efficiency, and business visibility.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will serve as both a strategic technology leader and a business partner, translating organizational goals and operational needs into practical, scalable technology solutions.

The Director will oversee the IT function, business applications, software platforms, system integrations, GPS and connected technology systems, reporting infrastructure, cybersecurity initiatives, and technology vendor relationships.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in information systems, technology, business systems, enterprise applications, or related areas.
- Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing technology teams, functions, major systems, or enterprise-level initiatives.
- Strong experience leading system implementations, integrations, software deployments, and process improvement initiatives.




- Demonstrated experience connecting multiple business systems and developing integrated technology environments.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI, business intelligence, dashboard development, and organizational reporting.
- Working knowledge of artificial intelligence, automation, AI modeling, and emerging business technologies.
- Experience managing software platforms, technology vendors, contract negotiations, licensing, renewals, and technology investments.
- Demonstrated ability to develop long-term technology strategies that support scalability, efficiency, and organizational growth.
- Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, change management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility with executive leadership, operational teams, vendors, and technical professionals.
- Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on enough to move concepts through design, implementation, and execution.
- Demonstrated curiosity, creativity, and ability to identify technology solutions that may not yet exist within the organization.

Responsibilities

- Develop and lead the organization’s long-term information systems, technology, and business systems strategy.




- Build and maintain a technology roadmap aligned with organizational growth, scalability, operational priorities, and productivity objectives.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on technology capabilities, risks, opportunities, investments, and emerging solutions.
- Evaluate existing technology and recommend enhancements, replacements, integrations, automation, or new platforms as appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to simplify operations, eliminate inefficiencies, reduce manual processes, and improve organizational productivity.
- Anticipate future technology and infrastructure requirements as the organization grows.
- Ensure technology investments deliver measurable operational and business value.
- Lead and manage integrations between business systems and software platforms.
- Develop strategies to connect systems and improve the flow of information across departments and platforms.
- Lead the development and advancement of business intelligence and reporting capabilities.
- Evaluate artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies.
- Manage software agreements, subscriptions, licensing, renewals, and technology contracts.
- Provide strategic oversight of GPS, telematics, tracking, and connected equipment platforms.
- Directly manage the IT Manager.
- Oversee cybersecurity practices and technology risk management initiatives.
- Lead major technology implementations, system upgrades, integrations, testing, deployments, and post-implementation reviews.
- Partner with Training & Development and departmental leaders to identify technology training needs.
