Director — Students’ Welfare (DSW)

Location: Chandigarh University, Punjab, India

Role Purpose The Director — Students’ Welfare (DSW) provides strategic leadership for the university’s student support, wellbeing, and engagement ecosystem. The role ensures that institutional systems governing student grievance redressal, discipline, counselling, and co-curricular engagement operate with fairness, efficiency, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Welfare & Wellbeing Leadership Provide strategic oversight of institutional mechanisms supporting student wellbeing, counselling services, and welfare programmes, ensuring accessible and responsive support systems.
2. Grievance Redressal & Student Trust Strengthen the university’s student grievance management framework, ensuring complaints are addressed with transparency, timeliness, and procedural fairness.

Discipline Governance Administer the university’s student conduct and discipline framework, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and maintaining a fair and respectful campus setting.

Eligibility Criteria Educational Qualification Master’s Degree with minimum 65% marks from a recognized university. Ph.D. preferred in Management, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related disciplines.

Experience Minimum 18 years of experience in higher education administration, student affairs, or student services.

At least 5 years in a senior leadership role such as: o Dean Students’ Welfare o Director Student Affairs o Associate Dean Students’ Welfare o Equivalent administrative leadership role in a recognized university

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.79 per month
