This position demands a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of gemological principles to evaluate the intricate characteristics of diamonds and other precious stones.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of gemstones to determine their quality and value.
- Perform detailed inspections of jewelry items to identify any defects or inconsistencies.
- Utilize specialized measurement instruments to assess the dimensions and properties of diamonds and gemstones.
- Operate and maintain various grading tools and equipment with precision and care.
- Execute rigorous quality control procedures to uphold company standards.
- Verify the authenticity of certification documents associated with gemological assessments.
- Detect and document specific inclusions and surface blemishes within the stones.
- Prepare and maintain accurate grading documentation for all evaluated items.
- Apply the 4Cs framework (Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat) to perform comprehensive diamond grading.
- Deliver detailed quality assessments that inform pricing and sales strategies.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 9 years of relevant work experience in gemstone evaluation or a related field.
- Demonstrate proficiency in gemstone evaluation techniques and jewelry quality inspection processes.
- Have hands-on experience with diamond and gemstone measurement tools.
- Be well-versed in the operation of grading tools and equipment.
- Show a strong commitment to quality control and certification verification protocols.
- Exhibit the ability to accurately identify inclusions and blemishes in various stones.
- Possess robust skills in creating and managing grading documentation.
- Understand the principles of diamond grading and the 4Cs of Diamond Grading.
- Be capable of performing independent and accurate diamond quality assessments.
- Salary expectation: ₹10 LPA.
