Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Mumbai or surat. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial operations including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The role involves preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, monitoring inventory and cost of goods sold for diamond and jewelry products, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.

The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations, maintain accurate records for audits and tax filings, and collaborate with retail and sales teams to provide financial insights.



The role also includes developing and maintaining internal controls and contributing to process improvements in the finance function.

Qualifications

- Ability to collaborate with jewelry-focused teams and understand basic Jewelry Design and Fashion Jewelry concepts to support accurate costing and inventory valuation.
- Robust Customer Service orientation to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners on financial inquiries and documentation.
- Attention to detail and quality mindset aligned with Polishing standards and high-value product handling, ensuring precise financial records.
- Experience providing Training or mentoring on financial processes, systems, and controls within a retail or product-based environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including reconciliations, reporting, and data analysis.
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles, financial statements, and local tax and compliance requirements.
- Prior experience in retail, luxury goods, or jewelry industry finance is an advantage.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, numerical accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
