The Development Final Inspector will be responsible for the final inspection of newly developed components, trial components, prototype parts, and development samples. The role involves ensuring that all components conform to customer drawings, dimensional specifications, GD&T; requirements, and applicable quality standards before production release or submission to the customer.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform final inspection of newly developed, prototype, trial, and sample components.
- Inspect components as per customer drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Verify critical dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T; requirements.
- Perform dimensional inspection using precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, Thread Gauges, Plug Gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Perform CMM inspection wherever applicable.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports for development and trial components.
- Identify dimensional deviations, defects, and other quality-related issues.
- Coordinate with Development, Production, Tool Room, and Process Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Support first-piece, prototype, trial, and sample inspection activities.
- Verify tooling, fixture, and process-related dimensional requirements.
- Maintain inspection records, development quality documents, and traceability records.
- Support FAI (First Article Inspection) and PPAP documentation wherever applicable.
- Ensure that all measuring instruments and gauges are within their valid calibration period before use.
- Maintain proper identification and traceability of inspected components.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for development-related quality issues.
- Provide final inspection feedback and dimensional reports before production release.
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures, inspection standards, and safety requirements.

Required Technical Skills





- Good knowledge of engineering drawing interpretation.
- Strong understanding of GD&T; and dimensional tolerancing.
- Knowledge of precision machining and CNC-manufactured components.
- Practical experience in dimensional inspection.
- Hands-on knowledge of measuring instruments and precision gauges.
- Knowledge of CMM inspection will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of surface finish requirements and geometric tolerances.
- Ability to prepare inspection and dimensional reports.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of FAI, PPAP, and development quality documentation will be preferred.

Educational Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

25 years of relevant experience in Precision Engineering, CNC Machining, Automotive Components, Manufacturing, or Quality Inspection.

Salary & Perks Salary: 25,000–35,000 per month, depending on experience, technical knowledge, and interview performance.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with hands-on experience in precision inspection, CNC components, engineering drawing interpretation, GD&T;, measuring instruments, CMM inspection, FAI, and PPAP documentation will be preferred.

The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, sound knowledge of dimensional inspection, and the ability to coordinate effectively with Development, Production, Quality, and Tool Room teams.
