Job Purpose The Development Engineer will be responsible for the development of recent components and manufacturing processes, improvement of existing products and processes, preparation of technical documentation, and coordination with Production, Quality, Tool Room, Purchase, and other relevant departments.

The role requires ensuring the successful development of precision-engineered components in accordance with customer drawings, specifications, quality standards, cost requirements, and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop new components and products as per customer drawings, specifications, and requirements.
- Study and interpret customer drawings, 2D/3D models, GD&T;, and technical specifications.
- Prepare development plans, process flows, and manufacturing feasibility studies.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tool Room, Purchase, and other departments during the development process.
- Support the selection and development of cutting tools, fixtures, gauges, and suitable manufacturing processes.
- Conduct machining trials and evaluate component performance, dimensional accuracy, and process capability.
- Identify, analyse, and resolve technical issues encountered during product and process development.
- Support process improvement initiatives, including cycle-time reduction, productivity improvement, and cost reduction.
- Prepare and maintain development documents, trial reports, process records,



and other technical documentation.
- Support APQP, PPAP, and other customer-specific development requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers for tooling, fixtures, gauges, and special process requirements.
- Analyse rejection, rework, and process-related issues and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Support prototype, sample, and pre-production component development activities.
- Ensure components are developed within specified quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all development activities.

Required Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of precision machining and manufacturing processes.
- Working knowledge of CNC, VMC, HMC, and CNC turning processes will be preferred.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, gauges, and their applications.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good understanding of GD&T.;
- Basic knowledge of metrology and inspection methods.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar CAD software is preferred.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and process planning will be an added advantage.




- Basic proficiency in MS Excel and technical documentation.

Educational Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in precision engineering, CNC machining, automotive components, or the manufacturing industry.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in component development and manufacturing process development will be preferred.

Salary & Benefits Salary: 35,000–45,000 per month, depending on experience, technical skills, and interview performance.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience in precision machining, CNC component development, automotive component manufacturing, process planning, tooling, and product/process development will be preferred.

The ideal candidate should have solid technical knowledge, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve development, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
