: Fire Protection (Design Engineer)

Must be a graduate in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering from an university of repute with 5+years.

Experience in the designs of Fire Protection Services. Must be conversant with the design codes of NFPA, TAC and NBC etc. Working experience in the designs of Fire Hydrant, Fire

Sprinklers, Pump house, Standpipes is a requirement. Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems is an added advantage.

Qualification - Diploma / B. Tech / Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience – 5+ Years’ experience in the designing of all kinds of Fire Protection Systems.

This job specifically involves the following key roles and responsibilities –

- Responsibility for the overall design of fire protection, detection and activation systems &

deliverables, including Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Tender Design / Documentation (including Technical Specifications, BOQ, Schedules and Drawings)
- Ability to design complete distribution systems to current legislation and codes of practice

for various type of buildings based on client brief & guidelines
- Ability to work independently on various calculations and layouts/schematic mark-ups as

per project requirements This job also involves the following aspects -




- Ability to independently communicate with Clients in written and spoken English
- Ability to independently create fire protection design mark-ups and perform calculations
- Ability to mentor and assist Junior Engineers
- Ability to get trained on and work on newer Design Software like HydraCAD, AutoSprink etc
- Ability to undertake offshore visit to client office if required for detailed training and one to

one sessions. Key Skills And Experience Needed:

The following statements define the experience that is needed in order to apply for this position -

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in designing of Fire systems for commercial, retail,

hospital and residential projects
- Experience in fire protection systems design of sprinklers, external & internal hydrant

system, fire pump & tank systems design, hydraulic calculations
- Experience of having worked on AutoCAD for preparing Design layouts
- Experience of using MS Office
- Proven experience of having successfully managed Client communication.
