- Design and develop current molds for plastic injection molded parts, working from engineering drawings/3D models and specifications.

- Generate 3D solid models of mold designs using CAD software.

- Create 2D detailed drawings of mold components for fabrication and assembly.

- Select appropriate & cost-effective mold construction materials.

- Make modifications to mold designs based on feedback from mold trials.

- Prepare technical reports documenting mold designs and test results.

- Train other engineers and technicians on mold design and fabrication techniques.

- Stay up-to-date on advances in mold design and manufacturing technology.
